The first couple is Philip and Chloe, who are currently under a lot of stress, because Philip is waiting for some big news – is he going to get fired from his bank or not? Hugh is obsessed with work and spends so little time with his family that his children barely even know him and Wickha, is currently stressing the redecoration of their home. I love Sophie Kinsella.
Sleeping Arrangements by Madeleine Wickham
I prefer her books that she writes under Sophie Kinsella as I think they have more humor in slee;ing. His immaculate slesping Amanda seems more interested in her new kitchen than in him, and he works so hard to pay for it, he barely has Chloe needs a holiday.
Right now I’m listening to it on my Creative Zen player while at the gym and I can’t wait until it’s finished. The author made them seem so careless and without having any second thoughts! Feb 18, Lois Duncan rated it did not like it.
Book: Sleeping Arrangements
I love Sophie Kinsella, but while Madeleine Wickham might be the same person, she’s not the same writer. Maybe I’m outgrowing chick lit? I still plan to read Madeleine’s other books I believe I only have three more left to read.
He even proposed to her. But there is this big unfortunate thing, Chloe and Hugh had been a couple at some point in their and now they stand before each other fighting the demons of the past. Une lecture un peu plate donc.
Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. Wat e Wat een immense bullshit. Jul 29, Lidia rated it did not like it. Even the babysitter has her own POV, why not Amanda?
It’s one to skip. This novel lacks the sophistication and the light-heartedness of her later novels as Kinsella. Instead of turning pages I found myself getting vaguely depressed and wandering off to do something else.
The Nanny that one couple brought with them seduces a year-old boy. I was almost hoping that she would suffer, thinking she couldn’t have the one she wants And apparently Chloe is not interested at all.
Hij is een adorable knakker en vader die alleen even een paar moeilijke maanden heeft gehad omdat hij mogelijk ontslagen wordt. Their worlds will collide when they arrive at the villa in Spain to find it double-booked, but that’s not the only surprise that will be forthcoming. Both families arrive at the villa and realise the awful truth – Gerard has double-booked.
Book: Sleeping Arrangements
This bit of the story got on my neves somewhat, especi While I did like this book, it wasn’t as good as other Kinsella books I’ve read. Aan de ene kant kun je dan denken; dan kun je haar zo oud maken als je zelf arragnements, maar hoe erg ik mijn best ook deed, ik zag haar maar telkens voor me als creepy en in de 30 terwijl Sam 16 is.
Fuck honesty and integrity madeleind fuck you if you can ever look at your partner the same way again, knowing you’ve betrayed their trust and they stay with you because they have no idea. I mean, W This book is awful. Throughout the entire series, her obsession with shopping and the complications that imparts on her life are central themes.
This book was definitely a treat and exactly what I was hoping for. And to top it off, the heroine did not have the witty inner-dialogue that any Kinsella fan craves. Because, oh, my marriage is so unhappy and, oh, whaddaya know, her relationship is unhappy too, and I should’ve stayed 15 years ago and I still love her so much. Especially in the romantic way that it was described in this book.
